| Born in Sarnia, Ontario, Tia grew up dancing. She moved to Toronto at the age of 18 to attend The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. After Graduating in August 2000 she went to work for the Disney Company on their Caribbean Cruise Ship the “Magic”. Upon returning she began dancing with the Jackson Dance Network. A contemporary Jazz company directed by dancer/choreographer Siona Jackson. With the company she performed in some of the country’s best professional dance festivals including the Canadian Dance Festival (Ottawa) and Dancing on the Edge (Vancouver). In the September of 2002 Tia was offered the once in a life time opportunity to move to Moscow, Russia and be a part of theatre history as the first sit-down English musical to appear in that country. The show ran for 3 months and she had the honor of working with Broadway director Randy Skinner, and appearing on stage with some very talented people from Canada and the USA. Currently, Tia resides in Toronto, dancing and choreographing. She is well know within the dance and theatre community and is regarded as a very hard working and talented artist. |
